Every homes nightmare Roaches

They're among nature's most vile, disgusting critters, and they can be nearly impossible to kick out of your house. Cockroaches live all over the world, but their favorite residence is your house, where they can snack on your food, damage wallpaper and books, and spread germs to you and your family. Follow these steps to serve these pests an eviction notice and keep them from coming back. Cockroaches are generally medium- large sized insects, although in some parts of the world they can get quite large. They have spiny legs and long antennae. If you see even one roach, you've undoubtedly got a lot more. The problem is they generally hide during the day, so you may need to look for them at night with a flashlight. Even if you can't find any of the insects, check cupboards and pantries for their droppings -- tiny brown slime stains or pellets. Try to figure out where they're coming from. If you see cockroaches, try to follow them to figure out where they go. This is easier said than done, however, so you might need to do a little sleuthing. Check all around the house for cracks and holes through which roaches may enter. Roaches often enter through drains or vents, so you can't seal up everything. Kill the roaches. There are a variety of do-it-yourself options for killing cockroaches. Some of the more well regarded of these are listed below. Try one at a time, or try them all.

• Make "Roach Food":
  • One part powdered (not granular) boric acid (sometimes sold as a roach-killing powder, but often available in pharmacies (for making anti-pinkeye eyewash), one part white flour, one part granulated white sugar. The sugar baits it, the flour makes it stick, and the boric acid kills them. Place in the backs of drawers and cabinets, under refrigerator, stove, etc. Expect at least 3 cycles of disappearance/reemergence of progressively smaller hordes of cockroaches, lasting about 2 weeks each. Continue using boric acid till roaches are gone.
  • Kids, dogs, and some other pets will eat this mixture. Boric acid is not highly toxic, but is for external use ONLY, so place it where only the bugs can get it. It will cake hard in humid environments, so paper or foil trays may be needed.
• Dust with boric acid, flour and cocoa (1 part acid, 2 parts flour and 1 part cocoa). Try P.F. Harris Roach tablets. They contain boric acid and a lure. While still dangerous for kids and pets, this product is not as toxic as many insecticides, and the roaches aren't repelled by it so they drag it home and feed it to their hatchlings. Dust a fine coat in cupboards, under sinks, around toilets and any cracks, corners or hollow spaces. Avoid breathing the powder; like any acid, it can irritate the lungs.
• Use an insecticide spray. Get some insecticide that is labeled for use against cockroaches, and spray wherever cockroaches may be hiding or entering the house, including along walls, in cracks, and in vents. Keep pets out of the way when you are spraying, and follow all safety instructions on the product's label.

Use cockroach bait. Cockroach bait is either housed in a childproof case or applied as a gel and contains a slow-working poison mixed in with an attractive (for cockroaches) food. The roaches eat the poison and bring it back to the nest, where it eventually kills all the roaches. Place the bait in an area where you know cockroaches will encounter it.

Use cockroach traps. Cockroach traps lure cockroaches in and then trap them with an adhesive. Get several of these, and place them wherever cockroaches are known to frequent.

Use water jars. A simple and effective homemade way to lure and trap roaches is with a jar placed next to a wall, allowing the roaches to get in, but not escape. Any bait can be placed in the jar, including coffee grounds and water, but it also works with just plain water in drier climates.

Apply a liquid concentrate. Liquid concentrates, once the exclusive domain of professional exterminators, are now being made for use by the public. The concentrate is a poison or deterrent chemical that is diluted with water and then sprayed, wiped, or mopped onto just about any surface. Concentrates can be particularly effective providing protection against re-infestation, as they usually deter roaches for 1-2 weeks or more.

Get professional grade pesticides. Don't go to the local home improvement store, all the stuff they sell there is weak. Search the web for it. Get something with Cypermerthrin, perhaps Demon WP or something along those lines. The will kill live bugs, as well as provide a residual effect for three months. Spray it around the perimeter of your home and in places like your basement. The bugs won't be back. The downside is that this will kill all bugs, even ones that eat roaches, like spiders and millipedes. But if you have lots of roaches, you probably don't care.

If you buy an exterior bug spray, it will work inside much better. To spray it, put it in a spray bottle or a pump-up pressure bottle and spray the solution in the kitchen cabinets clockwise while holding your breath. Spray quickly and run out and leave the windows closed for a day.

Getting a collar for your dog is much more important than you think. You need to find the right style, size, color, fabric, and much more to make your dog look good and feel great.

Measure the size of your dog's neck. Use a tape measure. Make sure you fit at least two-three fingers inside.
# Find the reason you need a collar. Is it for identification purposes only? Is it for looks? Is it for agility training? Whatever the reason find it, because this is the most important step!
# When you buy your collar using the guide below, get the size in inches the tape measure said. (If you have a large-breed puppy you will need a new collar about every other month because they grow so fast!)
# Make sure there is enough space to slide you pinkie in but tight enough so the dog cannot push it off.

This recipe makes 24-30 shots using plastic cups about the same size as the holes in a muffin pan.
Read through these instructions before attempting. It is important to have a good understanding of how this all comes together. You need to be prepared to set aside a good hour or so to just keep working through each step until completed. Don't worry––the end result is well worth it!

1 large box of blue Jell-O (jelly crystals)

1 large box of red Jell-O (jelly crystals)

2 cans (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk

2 cups water

8 single packs of Knox gelatin

2 cups of vodka

Photo frosting or icing sheets, choose small, round sizes for each print; or use edible paper suitable for printing (optional)

FDA approved edible ink in blue, white and red (optional)

Spray each plastic cup lightly with oil. This will ensure that the shots come out with ease Place the cups in the refrigerator, so that they're cold when the Jell-O mixes are added to them. Assemble the items needed. These are listed below under "Things You'll Need Follow the "fast set" instructions for each Jell-O. The reason for following "fast set" is that you need to keep moving quickly with these steps to get the shots to set properly. Pour 1/2 cup of water into a bowl. Add 2 packets of gelatin to the surface of the water. Mix well. Pour the bowl of water and gelatin into the saucepan and place on low heat. Stir well, so that the gelatin completely dissolves. Once dissolved, remove the mixture from heat. Pour in 1/2 cup of vodka into the blue Jello-O mix. Stir in well. Remove the refrigerated plastic cups from the fridge and pour the blue Jell-O mixture into each of the plastic cups 1/3 full. Place in the refrigerator to set for around 7 minutes. Pour the condensed milk into a bowl. Pour 3 cups of water into a separate container Sprinkle 4 packets of gelatin over the top of the water in the pie plate. Mix. Pour the water and gelatin mixture into the saucepan. Set over low heat. Stir to help dissolve the gelatin completely, then remove from heat. Pour the condensed milk into the clear gelatin mixture. Pour in 1 cup of vodka and stir thoroughly. Remove the cups from the fridge and pour in the condensed milk mixture over the top of the blue layer that has already set to about 2/3 high of each hole. Place in the fridge to set for around 5-7 minutes. Repeat steps 3-5 for the red Jell-O. Remove the cups from the fridge and pour in the red Jell-O mixture over the top of the condensed milk layer to fill to the brim. Repeat until the plastic cups are filled. Notice that each time, the setting period tends to lessen. You'll need to judge by checking. Place in the fridge until needed. This step is optional as not everyone has access to icing or frosting sheets and edible ink for printing; moreover you must have a certain type of printer for this to work. However, if you do, this last touch can make the shots phenomenal. Use this image to print on the edible icing or paper. Follow the instructions provided with the cake printer and edible icing packet or edible paper for aligning the image and printing it. This will differ depending on the brand of sheets and printer you're using.

   Leave the printed sheets to dry before handling the edible images. Trim each design to shape. Set aside. Release the shots from the cups. Do this by gently pressing the side of each jello shot with your finger and gently drawing to the middle to release its hold on the edges. Use another finger to help leverage out the shots. Flatten cupcake paper cases onto the large serving plate. If you find that there isn't enough space, the paper cases can overlap slightly but don't overcrowd the shots themselves. Arrange each jello shot to sit on a flattened cupcake paper case, with the widest end down on the plate, the narrowest at the top. Add each edible design to the shots just prior to serving, once they're neatly assembled on the serving plate. The shots will look amazing with this added on top. Guests can help themselves to a shot simply by grasping the sides of the flattened paper case and lifting to their mouths. They can use this paper to hold the jello shot while they nibble at it.
