Goldies Scones Review

Today I want to tell you about Goldie's Scones. A family owned company in Northern Illinois, that makes scones from recipes that have been passed down for generations. The company is named after their remembrance for their daughter Lisa, know as Goldie. You can taste the love and passion that went into these wonderful scones.

Goldie's only uses the finest ingredients, and no preservatives or trans fat.
When I tasted my first one, it was bursting with flavor. The first one I decided to try with a hot cup of coffee was, the flavor lemon poppy. The scone was very moist. To make them you just pop them in the oven right from the freezer.

Along with the samples of their scones, came two recipe cards to use. You take your favorite scone, and add it to other ingredients and get creative. You can make sandwich's, desserts, and even parfaits.

The combinations of ingredients work so well, in the flavors they are creating. Every scone in the box was so moist. When delivered they we're already frozen. The scones would also make a wonderful dish to serve for any occasion.

If you would like to taste the scones for your self, jump on over to Goldie's Scones website. www.goldiesscones.com . They have many great flavors to choose from. And the website offers some recipe ideas that you can use with different flavors of scones.

Wine Cork Jewelry Etc

Today I received two kandle korsets from a company called wine cork jewelry etc. They we're both handmade, and very neat. I have never seen anything like this before.

You take the korset and wrap it around your glass candle jar to dress it up. It lace's up just like a woman's korset, they are really cute. They make a great gift for any occasion. You can change the korset's to even go with your holiday decor.

They give any glass candle a pick me up look. The designer of these makes them from Eco fi felt, one hundred percent cotton, eyelets, and a ribbon.

They are available in many styles and colors. They are very durable, and make a great conversation piece. They block the part when your candle is getting low and your left with a sloppy look.

You are also able to get creative when lacing them. They both came with instructions on the proper way to use them so nothing catches on fire.

You can use these korsets in a unique way or even a sassy way. They make a great gift, and any one would be glad to have them adorning their candles.

They are also adjustable to fit just about any jar candle.

Nice product. If you would like to own one of these unique kandle korsets please visit at http://www.etsy.com/people/WineCorkJewelryETC?ref=ls_profile. And browse the many items they have for sale.

Momzblotter reviewed these products, momzblotter did not receive any monies to do so. All opinions are my own, your may differ.

The best Cinco de Mayo Salsa Dip

Cinco de Mayo is always a great time just about any where. The best thing about it is all the great food everyone makes. I make this salsa every time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and it's always a big hit. It goes great with just about anything, but fish taco's is the real hit. I also serve it during the rest of the year with chicken, my family loves it. I hope your family will love it also.

Mexico Flag 3 feet by 5 feet

When making this salsa I use fresh, ingredients. The first thing I look for is a nice ripe mango and a ripe papaya. You will then peel both, getting out any seeds of the papaya, then chop both of them. I then dice about a tablespoon of a jalapeno and and about one third cup of a red onion. With the jalapeno, you can decide if you want the seeds or not, depending on how hot you like your salsa. Then you chop a half cup of red pepper. I don't use a green pepper, because it's all about color for me with this dish.

Cinco de Mayo

After everything is peeled, seeded, chopped, and diced mix it all together. Then add your tequila two tablespoons, and one tablespoon lime juice. You will gently stir your mixture and chill. Before you serve, salt and pepper to taste.

Picture frame ideas

I wanted to share some picture frame ideas with you. Did you know the right frame can set the mood of your picture. The frame should enhance the colors in your photo, and enhance the emotion of it also. And also when choosing a frame take your home decor into consideration.

DAX Desk/Wall 11" x 14" Photo Frame, Rosewood/Black (N15786ST)

If you have modern decor, try using a minimalist frame. If you like antiques of course that is the type of frame you would choose. Antique wood frames also go great with the rustic look. Choosing the right frame for your photo can really make the photo stand out.

My First Year Photo Frame

For a really old world charm look, try a unfinished wooden frame, this goes good with vintage charm also. You can always find these types of frames in the craft stores. A wood frame that you can distress is another creative look for your photo, and gives it a personal touch.

Collecting Picture and Photo Frames (A Schiffer Book for Collectors)

Glass frames that are held together by a base is another look. This gives you a good visual of your photo since there is not chunky frame around the photo. This type of frame is usually found in a office, but also goes well on your home desk.

7 Inch Digital Photo Frame with Remote Control SC-7001

Getting a unfinished wood frame and painting it your self is another creative idea. You can then match it to the colors of your home or office. This is also a fun craft to do with your kids.

What ever type you choose, make it your own personal preference.

Bring Spring into your Home

Everyone looks forward to spring, after a cold winter. But bringing the atmosphere inside, can cheer up your home. Just making a few changes, adds a sense of openness and brings nature in. And who wouldn't love that feel in their home.

Pastels colors, and floral prints will reflect nature in any room. For minimal expense, you can incorporate throws, pillows even window treatments to get a spring feel. By keeping a theme going between your accents will make any room seem unified and very comfortable.

Now is also the time to freshen up your walls with a new coat of paint. Light airy colors often suggest spring. Choose one that will coordinate with your decor.

Houseplants are always a great idea. They add a touch of nature to any home. Adding not only color, but warmth and balance. Adding two plants per room, make it inviting to anyone. Not only that, the green colors of the plant make the room reflect spring.

When using fabric or textures, use natural tones. Bring a sense of nature to your rooms by using wicker, and jute rugs. Fresh flowers from your garden is another great idea, they bring the smell of spring through your whole house. Place some preservatives in the water, and this will extend your garden cuts even longer.

Open up those blinds or drapes, and let the sunshine in. Also if you have drapes or blinds in dark shades, how about replacing them with some lighter colors.

Nail Polish Colors for Spring

There are different colors of nail polish for every season. And your spring colors are different for spring, than for winter. Spring offers a burst of colors to use, that are more fashionable. The spring colors are usually from bare naked to pastels, to even bright hot colors.

After all the dark colors for winter, we welcome having nude or even a soft pink fingernail. This is always a welcome change. In spring it is also fashionable to wear muted shades, even bright tones. Like your oranges, greens, even purples.

By the end of spring, when we are nice an tan, bold choices look great on are nails. Even those fluorescent colors look great. The more bold the more eye popping you get. So let your nails steal the show.

Maine Root Beer Review

Today I received four soda's from Maine Root. The company was founded on making the best tasting and environmentally friendly products, the most responsible products they could make. And if you live in their neck of the woods you can get their products delivered in their vegetable powered vehicle. How cool is that.

This was a great test product. The root beer was none like I have ever had. The root beer is organically sweetened, and handcrafted with extracts of wintergreen, clove and anise. Very powerful, yet great tasting root beer.

You can really appreciate the taste of this root beer, because of all the extra work the company puts in to making it.

The sweetener in this product is organic evaporated can juice. This makes their products taste better and makes it organic. Therefore its better for us, the farmers and our ecosystem.

So if you love supporting organic farmers, and want to know more on this great tasting root beer than you will want to go here. http://www.maineroot.com/.

They have other flavors as well, that you may love to try.

What to do with Left Over Easter Eggs

We all dyed Easter eggs for today, but what do we do with them tomorrow. Well I wanted to share some tips on that, for those of us who have dozens or less left over.

Hide 'Em & Find 'Em Eggs (Single unit Random Color)

How about tomorrow for a appetizer before dinner you whip up some deviled eggs.

How about adding them with any left over candy, you make some baskets for your co workers, or people you know who didn't have alot for today.

Use those hard boiled eggs in some salads or sandwiches to take for school lunches or for the office.

Don't forget your pets, hard boiled eggs are a great snack for doggies and birds.

How about making some pickled eggs. For a quick way, buy a jar of pickled beets, and just place your hard boiled eggs in their, and leave overnight.

You can also scoop out the yolks of your hard boiled eggs and freeze them in a air tight container.

How about a ham soup, afterwards, adding some halved hard boiled eggs in at the last minute.

The Beverly Hills Kitchen Products Review

Well, imagine getting a box when you got home filled with beef bourguignon, pecan salmon, dulce du leche cakes, and lemon parm crusted chicken. Yes, that's exactly what I said wow.

Every thing was sent by The Beverly Hills Kitchen company. The products are frozen food for people who appreciate gourmet tasting food. Each product was in it's own container, which made it very convenient. The products from The Beverly Hills Kitchen will make you feel like you have your own personal chef at home. The products are all natural, and all easy to warm up.

The first food product was the dulce du leche cakes. You get the taste of tradition with the convenience of home. I just had to pop one in the microwave for a minute and I was ready to enjoy the fantastic flavor. It was rich and good. They we're a delicate butter cakes, with Carmel and pecans. These are great for unexpected guests, just pop them in a microwave and warm them up for a quick snack. And also great for elegant dinner parties as well.

Next was the lemon parm crusted chicken. These are great tasting chicken parms, and easy to cook. Your family will think you worked all day cooking these. All I had to do is pop a chicken breast in the oven for twenty minutes and dinner was done. I whipped up a veggie, and some potatoes and I had a full meal. The chicken was a white chicken breast, that came out so soft and tender. The breast was coated with Parmesan, panko breading, garlic and daps of lemon butter on top. Have your friends over for dinner and they will think you are a gourmet chef for sure. They are also 0 trans fat, so your getting healthy meals as well. Each chicken breast comes individually wrapped, so you can cook as many as you need.

My husband had the pecan salmon, rice and a veggie. The salmon was made with pecans, panko bread coating, shallots, dill and garlic. Then topped with dill butter. I only had to warm it up for twenty minutes also, so I was able to cook a chicken breast and salmon fillet at the same time. The pecan salmon also is 0 trans fat. Both of these food products would taste good broiled also. After baking the salmon it came out very crispy. This makes a great main course meal.

I made my daughter the beef bourguignon for her dinner, these also come individually wrapped in their own container. I was able to warm this up in the microwave in five minutes. The bourguignon was made with quality beef that was marinated and simmered for six hours. It had fresh mushrooms, pear tomatoes, carrots, pearl onions and basil, mixed with Dijon mustard and parm cheese. Serviced with veggies and mashed potatoes, she just loved it. The meat just melts in your mouth and the veggies stay nice and firm, not mushy at all. These make another elegant meal for your family or quests.

Every thing shipped in packed dry ice, and stayed nicely frozen until I was able to get it in the freezer. Very happy to have tyred these great meals.

Seductive Nature Product Review

I would like to introduce you to a company called Seductive Nature. Today I received three bars of their soap, that is made with goats milk. This is a first for me, and I was excited to try them in tonite's bath. Their soaps are made with a specific purpose. They create soap for acne, for soothing qualities, and many other specifics. All products are free of detergent and are less harmful than other soaps on the market. They use essential oil only, not synthetic. And the great thing is for every bar of soap sold Seductive Nature will donate twenty five cents to www.plantabillion.org . How cool is that.

The first sample was Blue Juniper Bliss, its a natural exfoliate, that left my skin feeling fresh, and smelling the same.
Goats milk is moisturizing and has rejuvenating powers in it. The exfoliates in this bar are from the blueberry seeds, very nice. It left no film on my skin at all. Love this one.

This sample bar above is the Honeysuckle Rose, one of my all time favorite scents. I used this on my left arm, opposite what I used with the Blue Juniper Bliss so I could compare the two. This bar has a aroma of fresh rose and honeysuckle. It gets its moisturizing from extracts of aloe and Jojoba, perfect for anyone with dry skin. Neither of the bars irritated my skin, and left both arms feeling smooth.

Another one of my favorite smells is Almond, and when you have that with Honey and Vanilla, you can't go wrong. This bar I used on my legs to shave. It was really neat because it actually beaded up on my skins surface. The renewing properties of vanilla and honey collaborate with a seductive scent of almond, and the final out come is a ultra moisturizing soap. It left no rash, or irritation on my skin after shaving. My legs we're smooth as silk.

If you would like to know more about these nice soaps, visit their website at http://www.etsy.com/people/seductivenature?ref=ls_profile. The products would make a lovely addition to any gift baskets. The scents are even pleasant right through the wrapper.

Krave Jerky Review

Another product that came today for review, was from the Krave company. They produce healthy jerky snacks. These jerky products are not gummy, nor fatty. The company uses sliced meat, and natural seasonings. The jerky is made fresh and then vacuumed packed.

The first flavor of jerky was the basil citrus turkey. The flavors are tangy, full of citrus, with a hint of basil. The jerky was made with succulent young turkey breast. The texture of the jerky was softer than other store brands I have tyred. It was easy to chew, not tough at all. This jerky flavor was bursting for sure. The spices we're not over powering at all. Just right. This is a perfect pre post workout snack.

The next bag of jerky from Krave was the chili lime. As soon as you open the bag, the flavors just come out. A great Spanish flavor to me, chili and lime penetrating through the jerky in every bite. Made with slices of tender chuck, of domestic beef. The texture was also moist and soft. It has a medium heat nothing over whelming. And yes if you are Spanish or not this jerky goes great with Corona.

The jerky all come in a different color bag, this is a really neat feature.
All the bags are also re-seal able after opening. Next flavor that was tasted was the curry beef jerky. This flavor was a new adventure for Krave. This is the only curry jerky you may find. The taste was of South Asian flavors. It was very unique, and once again soft in texture. The beef slices are coated with exotic curry spices and just a hint of fish sauce. This would be great diced small and added into a dip.

Now if you like your jerky hot, this is the one for you, garlic chili pepper. It will leave your mouth on fire for sure. Not for children at all, so don't let them try it. It is very spicy, with a hint of garlic. Made with California beef, and dehydrated with real chili flakes. Lightly salted also with another taste in it of soy. A definite four alarm jerky.

Then you have the sweet honey chipotle flavor. This jerky is authentic in Mexican flavors. The taste of smokey chipotle and dried smoked chili peppers. Compared to the Garlic Chili Pepper, the heat is moderate. The slices are from the muscle of domestic beef, and then dried in a marinade. Its moist, and soft and also chewy.

One of my favorites was the pineapple orange flavor. A delicious Hawaiian tasting jerky. This one was really enjoyed by my nine year old also. The jerk is marinated in sweet orange and pineapple, and a tropical fruit flavored marinade. Another moist jerky and it just melts in your mouth.

Our of all the jerky this was the only one from pork. Each slice is marinated in teriyaki, and brown sugar with smoky soy before they dry it. What comes out of it, a perfect tasting snack jerky. Very well combined ingredients, with a hint of sweetness. And the best part it's not salty at all.

If you would like more information check out Krave's website. Visit them at http://www.kravejerky.com/ . There's a tone of stuff there for you to see.

Swiss maid fudge Review

Today's product that is being reviewed came from Swiss Maid Fudge. The fudge from the company is handmade, with 100 percent Wisconsin sweet cream butter, heavy cream and of course pure chocolate and vanilla. None of their products contain artificial preservatives. They only produce the purest candy that is possible. To ensure freshness, they ship their products right after its made. They also make their candy in copper kettles just like the Europeans.

They company was very generous with their products, and I am very thankful to them. They we're all tasted and tested by every one in my family. And enjoyed very much.

The first taste test, was the old fashion handmade pecan brittle. This is cooked in their copper kettle and poured onto a special table, spread and hand pulled into a thin layer. The brittle was so good, the mixture of the pecans with the Carmel was just right.

Next was the Chocolate marshmallow cow meals. I could see where they got their name, they look like cowhides. This was one of the family favorites, so chewy and gooey in every bite.

If you like chocolate and roasted pecans with a buttery caramel, you will love these called turtles. They are so so good. The caramel is so chewy and buttery.

The English Toffee, was the next item to try. They are made with sweet cream butter, with slow roasted almonds. Each piece is then dipped in Swiss maid fudge's, premium chocolate with a dusting of ground almonds. If you ever had a heath bar, it taste similar to that, but these are better.

This is the dark chocolate fudge above, it tastes more like double dark chocolate. Oh boy chocolate in every bite for sure, so soft and so good. Had this one with coffee, and the two together we're a great combo.

Oh, just when you thought I was done, there's milk chocolate nut fudge. This fudge was filled with English walnuts, and you can taste them in every bite.

The peanut butter, chocolate marble was my favorite of the bunch. You can never go wrong when you combine these two ingredients, that's for sure. They we're the bomb.

Popcorn and butter pecan all mixed up. This was featured on the Rachael Ray show. They say it can be additive to eat this and guess what, they are right. The mixture of the butter and popcorn and pecans, words can not describe the taste. You will just have to try it and see if it leaves you speechless also.

If you want to know more about these fantastic delights please visit
www.swissmaidfudge.com . They would make a great gift for any candy lover you know.

Apropos Roasters Review

Another product that I received today was coffee from Apropos Roasters. A company that believes the best coffee is the freshest coffee. What they do is buy quality fair trade organic beans from farms and distributors. They take those and roast them to order in small quantities, never letting the old beans sit.

So it was time to test the coffee. Anyone who knows me, knows I love coffee. The aroma when the coffee was brewing made the whole house smell so wonderful. They grounded the coffee for me, and it came in a cute brown wrapper with a twine bow. These products would also make great gifts for any coffee lover. My blend was Peru Cajamarca. And when I drank it I could close my eyes and just imagine being there. The coffee had a great texture and taste to it. Not to bold like some organic coffees.

They also included a vial of coconut rum coffee creamer. This and the coffee was a great way to end a evening.

If you would like to know more about Apropos Roasters and their wonderful coffees please visit them at www.aproposroasters.com . You'll be glad you did.

Kitty O Mine Product Review

This product came from a woman by the name of Wanda and her cat Zoe. They are a family who lives full time in a motor home, and has for the last fourteen years. Wanda loves to craft, and is also known by her grandchildren as Crafty Grandma. Out of the love for her cat she crafts body pillows, which she also donates to the Animal Rescue Society in Savannah GA.

I received three sizes of these wonderful cat pillows, that Wanda makes from recycled coats. I passed these on to my son's two cat's to test and review. He said when he gave them to the two cat's they had a ball. He also enjoyed watching them play together with the pillows.

Also she included two cute little bottle caps, for them to scat around on the floor. My son said he never laughed so hard, watching his cats play.

Kitty knocked the cap right under the fridge and stood there until someone got it out.

If you would like to know more about these handmade cat toys visit Wanda at http://www.etsy.com/people/KittyofMine. She has other products available your best feline pal.
