Today, I received two fruit spreads, from the Robert Rothschild farm. They are a family founded company located in Urbana Ohio. They make great products like spreads, dips and so much more. I couldn't wait to get started tasting and testing them.
To get started, I used the blackberry tea and sage fruit spread on my pork roast for dinner. I also added fresh blackberry's as well, to make a sauce to drizzle over my pork roast. To say the least the pork roast was a huge hit. Nothing left is a good sign. This is such a great tasting fruit spread, that can be used in multi recipes. The fruit spread is somewhat on the tart side, but then you get the sage and black tea taste that balances it all out. It was just heavenly on the pork roast. I would also use this as a spread on a muffin or toast, and on ice cream as well. In every bite of the Rothschild spread you can taste the love, that is put in their product. Best of all its made with all natural ingredients and is gluten free.
Second up was the strawberry lime basil fruit spread. Again, this is a product the company makes with all natural ingredients and is gluten free. I used this for a spread on top of my homemade bread that I made yesterday. It spread so nice and smoothly, and tasted fantastic. Made with a blend of the sweetest strawberries and a hint of basil gives you a sweet and tangy spreadable fruit spread. Simply stated, its so good.
