Today I received two products from Robert Rothschild Farm, a family owned company located in Urbana Ohio. They make the best specialty foods ranging from preserves to sauces. They are great bold flavors and a great addition to the busy cook in the house.

  

The first product the family tyred was the Fire Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Spread. We toasted a day old loaf of Italian bread, and spread the product on. It was fantastic, the whole family enjoyed the taste. The spread has eggplant, red peppers, sweet onions, feta and salty capers, and you get a hint of tartness from vinegar. I would use this again, especially around the Holidays. Try it on crackers, baguettes, or as a dip. Any way you serve it I am sure it will be a great hit. The product is all natural, gluten free and kosher D.

Next Up, it was time to try the Roasted Pineapple and Habanero Sauce. This I used over a roasted chicken. Basted the chicken with the during the last hour with the sauce, then served the remaining sauce on the side for more dipping. It was a hit also. I know some great recipes can be made with this sauce, such as fish, pork and even meatballs. This to was all natural, gluten free and kosher D.
