Tiger Milk Bars Review

I had the privilege today to do a review for Tiger Milk Bars. I received four different flavors. Peanut Butter, Protein Rich, Peanut Butter with Honey and finally Peanut Butter Crunch.

These bars we're introduced in 1960 as America's first nutritional bar. Each bar is loaded with 16 vitamins and 9-10 grams of protein.

Healthy for you, they can satisfy any snack craving you are having.

I found them to taste really good. The first one we tyred was Peanut Butter. There's nothing better, than the taste of chocolate and peanut butter together.

Element Bars Review

Today I received Element Bars, from Element Bars Inc. The company founders Maria and Johnathan believe people care what is going into their bodies. Our food should not only be nourishing, but should be made to sustain our planet. They know that in these modern times many people live busy life's and not everyone has time to make their own nutrition bars. So this team did it for us.

You pick what you want or don't want in your bar. It is made with unprocessed or minimally processed elements, to reach a maximal nutrition.

In my box was one dozen of these bars, three flavors of each Choco-lata-fun, doctor therapy, fuel up and go and the cherry dates nuts. When you have children you want the best for them. I watch very carefully what my daughter eats. There's not much junk food in our home. We only buy healthy food. So these worked out great. These make a great snack and also make a great snack for her school lunch as well as my husband's lunch.

They we're very tasty. I really enjoyed the cherry dates nut's. All the ingredients complimented each other. Very tasty indeed.

The flu has hit my house

Friday of last week my husband came down with the flu. By Saturday my daughter and I came down with it. Today makes one week. The chills are gone, the fever is gone. But we are left with the worst dry hacking cough. We have all been to the doctor, me twice. I ended up today at my lung doctor. He said I have chronic bronchitis. Now he has me on cough medicine, antibiotic, and a inhaler. The problem is I am afraid of the inhaler because of all the side effects. So let me know if I am being silly.

Smelleze Product Review

Having four dogs, three parrots, and a ferret, I was looking forward to doing a product review for a company called Imtek Environmental Corp. The company pollution, moisture and sanitation control products that are planet smart. All their products are Eco friendly, safe and non toxic. They can be reused, and they are recyclable. If you use green products you will love these. They have been in business for over twenty years.

The first product was a smelleze pet deodorizer pouch.

It is a reusable deodorizer pouch, that eliminates pet orders on contact. It can be used in your home, a kennel, or pet store, any where pets are. You can place them near the order or even inside a air duct, and right away you will smell the difference. When you want to freshen your pouch you just put it into the microwave for 2 to 4 minutes. This makes the product very cost effective. The pouch is non toxic, safe, natural and very environmentally friendly. And safe for all pets. I hung it in my parrot room and it was like a breath of fresh air. So far so good.

The other product was Smelleze Carpet Deodorizer Powder. All pet's have accidents, and sometimes getting the odor out is not so easy. And no matter how much I try to avoid that problem it's hard because that area of my home that house's my parrot's and ferret is also our back door exit. So it does get it's share of flies. Alima Pure Eyeshadow Product Review

I had the pleasure today to receive a new product line to review called "rainforest's", from a company called "ALIMA PURE". This collection is available for a limited time in March 2011. The company was established in 2004 by Kate O'Brien, and has grown into a multi billion dollar industry. All from wanting cosmetics with no toxins or irritants on her daughters skin. She created a line that is 100 percent pure. Her products now sell in forty five countries strong. Most of her sales are from word of mouth.

I was excited to try them, but my nine year old beat me to it. So I figured since her skin is more sensitive then mine, I would see how well they would work on her skin type. We applied a little of each color to her eye area, and no problem. There was no irritation at all. We used a small eyeshadow brush to apply the shadow, and it went on very smooth. The first color was macaw, it reminds you of the beautiful blue in the macaw parrot, and it also had shimmers in it. The second color was Kapok, it reminds you of the cocoa bean with shimmers, the third color was Jaguar, and like the big cat it is the tan color in his coat with shimmers, and last is Bromeliad a medium green color like a beautiful fern with shimmers. They come it little pots, and are easy to open.

These shadows are called mineral cosmetics. And when you try them you will see a big difference between them and what we call conventional makeup.

Alima Pure not only sells these great eye shadows that come in many colors, but also foundations, blush, lipbalm, and cosmetic tools.

Justin's Nut Butter Review

Today, I received several products from "Justin's Nut Butter". Upon opening the book, I found heaven waiting for me, in comfort food form. There was two 16oz jars of Justin's Nut Butter, one Almond Butter, and one Maple Butter, and two boxes of squeezable of the same flavor and my daughter's favorite Justin's Nut Butter peanut butter cups.

This is a company that truly cares about our planet. Their ingredients are for the most part organic. All the ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. The squeeze packets are compostable and with our help they will reach their goal in 2011. Their headquarters is fully solar paneled, so with all this "Green", you can see why their products taste so great.

The whole family tyred the products, one of used it on a toasted bagel, one on toast with strawberry jelly, two just squeezed and ate. My first thought was how great these will be in school lunch's, or boxed lunch's for work. The squeeze pouch's we're very easy to open and squeeze out. The taste was perfect, you couldn't even tell it was organic, it tasted just like regular every day peanut butter. There are so many snack ideas you can do with these, celery sticks, pretzels, and apple slices, the ideas are endless.

It's a known fact that nuts help to lower cholesterol, so you get a great benefit with this product.

I needed a Appetizer FAST

Sometimes, guest's aren't always expected. So what do you serve them in a minute's notice, "Appetizers". Just by keeping some common staples in your pantry or fridge, you will always be ahead of the game.

Just a few cans of biscuit's can become a great appetizer. Roll the dough out with your rolling pin, top with your favorite marinara sauce, your favorite cheese, some toppings like olives, or peperoni. Then all you do is bake them according to the package directions.

Wrapping cocktail wieners in crescent roll triangles are another favorite of mine. It's easy and quick. Making a nice spicy dipping mustard sauce goes great with these.

Melba toast, or other sturdy crackers is another great staple to have on hand. My favorite topping for these are a little ricotta with roasted chopped red peppers spread on top after toasting the Melba toast's. You can also do you favorite cheese on top, complemented with your favorite fruit. My husband likes a good tapenade or, bruschetta on his. Melting your favorite cheese on top works to.

Most fridges will have cheese and veggies already in them. Making small cubes, of cheese, and small chucks of veggies with a good dip is one of the fastest throw together appetizers. If you guest is willing to keep you company in the kitchen and lend a hand a good fondue is always a fun appetizer, especially with a melted cheese. A good one I love is eggplant sliced thin with mozzarella cheese melted on top, and when you take it out putting a slice of tomato on top.

  And of course there is plenty of boxed appetizers in the grocery store you can stock up on.

This soap produced a rich later, with a nice natural scent. I used it on all the sensitive areas of my body. La Femme is rich in Avocado Oil and Shea Butter, leaving your skin with a smooth feel, and fresh scent of vanilla. It also contains several other natural ingredients that helps your skin restore itself.

The second process of my bath, was the "Brown Sugar Body Scrub". This one I was excited about, I love my body scrubs. When you open the jar, you can immediately smell the scent of Brown Sugar. I just loved the way it made my skin feel, so rejuvenated, and clean. This product also helps in shedding dead skin cells, and debris from your skin. The brown sugar base of this product is perfect for doing this. The other ingredient, Apricot and Borage oil, help also to revive your skin. And I could definitely feel that. The benefit of this scrub helps to make the skin look and feel younger. So at my age that's a plus in my book.

After rinsing off, and drying, the last product I used was the "Natural Organic Lotion". In just one application, my skin felt soft. And the fresh natural scent that my body had, did not come off after toweling dry. I could smell it for hours, and the rest of my family complimented me how nice it was. The lotion not only rests on the top of your skin, it penetrates to the other layers to heal, smooth, and hydrate. The natural organic lotion is made of pure plant essentials, and organic nutrients. Room Decorating Tip Guides Day One

The best way to turn any house into a home, is by adding your personal decorations. These are usually reflections of your personality or personal tastes. What ever they are I wanted to create a daily log blog of some of my favorite tips each day. Most of the idea's are do it your self's, it is fun and inexpensive. And you can include the entire family. By tackling these projects yourself, you can definitely obtain the look you are wanting.

The best way to make any room appear bigger than it is, is to draw more attention to the windows. If you do this, if will make the room appear that it is more spacious. White, or off white curtains or drapes will create this effect. These colors create more light.

The next tip is consider re-doing your headboard. With a few materials you can get a entire new look. This is usually done with batting and some fabric, to create a awesome headboard.

Even changing the lampshades around the house, will create a new look and feel to the room. Buy new one's of solid colors, or one's with patterns.

What ever you choose to do first, will make a big change in the look of your room.

She was leading a healthy life style, and decided to have the same lifestyle for her dog. Thus Organic Oscar was born.

The products I received today to review, we're a shampoo and a conditioner. Organic Oscar's Aloe Vera shampoo for dogs is natural, biodegradable and is certified organic. Not only is the shampoo great for your dog, it's great for envioment. This shampoo works great for dog's with sensitive skin, due to the rich organic chamomile and organic Aloe Vera. Both of these ingredients create a soothing and calming effect. The conditioner is made with the intention of protecting your dog and the environment as well. It also helps to protect your pet's coat from the harsh environment, as well as leaving a smooth soft to the touch feel.

What better way was there to find out, then give the dog a bath. And the weather outside couldn't have been better to try these products out. 

As you can see, he enjoyed it. The instruction's stated to leave the shampoo sit on the coat for a few minutes, and I had no problem doing that. My pet seemed to become very relaxed, and sat there in the tub all on his own. Following right after, I applied the conditioner as per the instructions. Following the drying process, Max's coat was the smoothest and shiniest I have seen in a long time.

All of the products from "Organic Oscar", can be used on your pet cat also. They are also great for pet's with certain skin problems. One double plus for these product's are, if you accidentally get the product into your pets eyes, it will not do any harm. Not only that, the package is 100 percent recyclable.

Make traveling with kids fun

Traveling with children, doesn't have to be hectic. With a little planning it could be alot of fun. The best place to start of course is the beginning. Let the kids get a look at where you are going. Show them on a map, online or even guidebooks. This can get the excitement started right away. Show them the different routes/roads you will be traveling on, and what sites you may stop at on the way.

Another thing the children can be included in, is helping you pick out the Hotel. When I am searching for a Hotel, the first thing I like to make sure is, do they have a indoor pool. So that rain or shine there is always the pool, for the kid's to enjoy. Next I always ask about the hotel's amenities, does it include breakfast, how far from attractions etc.

After that, it's time to pack the suitcase's. I always let Savannah pack her own suitcase's. One for clothes, and one for toys. Of course I double check it. Because if she had it her way, she would pack her whole room of toys.

I also like to pack a small cooler, and fill it with some snacks and sip drinks. This will come in handy when they are hungry and thirsty, and your not ready to stop yet. And always make sure to add wet wipes and or paper towels.

Keeping the children occupied is the biggest task. We play visual games like I spy, count the different license plates and other games. If traveling for a few hours, you may want to even pack some travel games, these are available at most retailers. The best entertainment is TV, if your vehicle is not equipped with one, you can by a cheap video player. Some other fun things, is to plain some times for getting out and stretching, choosing places along the way with some points of interests, or that have a great scenic view for picture taking.

After arriving at the hotel and checking in, it's always fun to take a tour of the hotel. Find out the floor plan of the hotel, like where's the pool, the restaurant and so on. At this time also it is a good idea to take pictures of the children and leave them at the desk with their information and you contact numbers. You can even create id bracelets for the younger one's. It wouldn't even hurt to document what the child is wearing for each day, or take a daily picture.

Lastly plan your daily activities and include the children, this will make them feel they played a big part in making your family trip a memorable one.

Toddy Cloth Product Review

Almost every house hold has some sort of electronic product. A TV, ipod, iphone, computer, or even a lap top. Some are used in the home, on the go, and in the office. Since I got them I have used them on my iphone, computer, and my laptop. They wiped the smudges and fingerprints right off with out having to use any harsh spray's and without any hard rubbing. The fingerprints on the iphone disappeared like magic. I used the microfiber side to wipe and the design side to polish. My device's look brand new. My husband tyred it on the GPS he uses for work and the dirt and grime came off instantly.

The cloth is protected with "Aegis Microbe Shield", and also has a antimicrobial coating, which protects the cloth from microorganisms which cause mold, and mildew and other negative happenings. It not only cleans, but polishes. You will not need any harsh liquid cleansers, which is sometimes recommended by some manufacturers.

We spend alot of money on our devices, why not invest in something to protect them and clean them. The benefits of this product is, that they wipe away germs, that sometimes can remain on a device for a day to a month. And just think of all the germs we may spread to our loved one's if we are sharing these devices.

Take a Trip to Wilkes-Barre PA

The family decided spring fever is coming early this weekend and a road trip is in the making. The destination "Wilkes-Barre PA". If you haven't been, you should. It is a town rich in history from the revolutionary war. It is also home to many different restaurants and diners.

So we decided to try a restaurant that we have been dying to try for sometime now, "Blakeslee Inn". The Inn is a short drive from Wilkes-Barre, so after some site seeing, that's the place we are going for dinner. The Inn is traditional French cuisine, with foods like apple and sweet potato bisque. My husband has always wanted to try quail, so I assume that is what he will be ordering.

After our weekend I will definitely update my readers on our experience.

Believe it or not Spring and Summer are really coming. But with the new product I received today to review, snow won't matter either. I recived three products today called ringer wraps, from the company CleverWraps.
The company makes these ringer wraps that come in three sizes. Small fits phones such as the iPhone, Blackberry, HTC Incredible and other bar style phones. The next size is medium, which are great for Motorola, Razr and other vertical flip phones and slide style phones. Finally the third size is large, fitting phones such as LGenV and other horizontal flip slide style phones.

Wow what a clever idea they came up with. These ringerwraps will be great for covering your phone or even ipod's when at the beach, skiing, boating, even working out. They will protect your phones, and at the same time not prevent you from using your device. They come with five ringerwraps per package. The ringerwrap is easy to use, a disposible  clear plasctic sleeve, with a zip feature and re-sealable tape feature that gives your phone a custom fit. The package has informative instructions on them.

Everyone in my household owns iphones, my little one has a ipod. So I tryed the medium size on my iPhone. And the fit was perfect. So let me tell you how handy these are going to come in. I have already had to replace one phone, and the ipod, due to water damage. It just takes a small amount of water to due damage. When you are going to the water park, or even getting ready for a jog, it will only take seconds to sleep these cleverwraps on and know your device is safe and secure. And when you run out, they are afforable enough to replace. After all the phone or ipod you are protecting cost plenty more to replace than the Cleverwraps that are protecting them.

Getting Indoor Plants to Grow Flowers

If you are like me, I love indoor plants. My most favorite is flowering plants. But getting them to bloom inside can be tricky. So I thought I would share with you some of the things I do, to get my plants going.

First I choose plants that I know will do well indoors. Get plant's that are great for your circumstances, and will grow in your space. I have alot of low light plants that flower very well indoors. African violets, lilies, and bromiliads are my favorite. If you are just buying yours make sure they have a healthy foliage, and free of disease and pests. This will prevent flowering until freed of these problems. If you can find plants that already have buds, that's even better.

Always find out your plants specific care instructions, especially when it comes to feeding. If your plant did not come with instructions there are alot of good plant care books on the market. Or find a good Gardening forum online.

Plants need water, but it is important not to water to much. I only use purified water, or rainwater from my husbands rain barrel. I get the best results this water. Tap water can be to hard. But if you happen to have a water softner, than that's great. Also all my plants are located in my home where the temperature does not fluctuate all that much. If you place them by a draft or a place that may get to cold, you will not get flowers. Or worse, the plant could die. You can purchase a digital thermometer to record temperatures at different hours, this will help to find the best location in your home or office.

 
Just like the correct amount of water, your plants need the correct amount of light. It will need the correct amount in a twenty four hour period in order for it to flower. This will of course depend on your plant type, so that's where the research comes in. The do sell lights that have timers on them, this allows for light and dark times for your plants. This is what really gets them to flower. If you don't have a timer, you will have to place them in a dark place when the lights are out, and this can be time consuming when you have alot of flowering plants.

With my son's upcoming wedding, I wanted to share some bridal gift idea tips. Trying to figure out what the bride would like can be a tough decision. After all these are the gift's the bride and groom will use, in starting their new life together. So the best thing to do is try and keep with the traditional bridal gifts. You may keep it family to family or culture to culture.

The most popular gift is China. Most of the time a bride will receive a set of china or silverware. This can be expensive or less costly if choosing china in the same realm. You can give them Set's or individual pieces such as trays, platters, gravy boats etc. If you want to make sure the bride will love it keep, make sure its the current style.

Of course the couple could always use the monetary gift of money. Or a gift certificate to a store. The best way to give the money is in a money card, some might get offended if cash is handed to them.

 

Of course if you want to pay for the honeymoon, that would be great to. After all the wedding expenses, they would probably welcome it. But on the other hand honeymoon related gifts such as luggage are just as great. Or any other gift coordinating with the honeymoon.

Finally there are the gifts the bride will get at her bridal party. You can give monogrammed gifts, for keepsakes, coordinating sets of gifts. A necklace to wear for the wedding, earrings, a bracelet, even the garter. Any of these are considered traditional.

Today, I would like to introduce a company called Vita Coco. A manufacturer of All Natural Coconut Water. The history to this company is a romantic one. It started in Manhattan, at a bar. While talking to, two Brazilian women who we're asked what they missed most about there country. They responded with "aqua de coco". The owner Liran Kirban would eventually marry one of the woman, and soon market "coconut water".

Now Vita Coco is so popular, it is available nation wide. You can find Vita Coco online, or stop by, GNC, Amazon, Whole Foods, even Kroger's. They also have made headlines in newspapers, magazines, even drank by celeb's at this years Superbowl.

For my review I received a case of the Vita Coco. It included a dozen drinks, 17oz's each of their most popular flavors. Like plain coconut water, peach and mango coconut water, acai-pomegranate, and my favorite passion fruit. This drink is not only tasty, it has a high nutritional value. Having fifteen times more, the electrolytes found in other sports drinks. After playing any sport, with this product you are re-hydrating with only one product and one ingredient. The product is 100 percent natural, no fat, no cholesterol, and more potassium than two banana's. All in all one of the most healthiest drinks around. Vita Coco is also Kosher, and Star K Certified.

My personal taste test, along with my family was that this was a very refreshing drink. It even passed my eight year old's taste test.  We all tasted each other's drink, even having our own favorites. My husband being in the construction business, and working outside in all climates, would benefit from this drink in many ways.
