Making Your Own Beauty Supplies

With the country in a recession, people are finding ways to compensate for everyday living needs. So I want to share some tips about how to make some of these everyday beauty supplies.

What woman doesn't like to come home after long day and just relax in a bubbling warm tub. Well this tip will show you how to make your own foaming bubbles. It will help you rest your mind, your body and your soul.
If you have dry skin, a bath oil will be just the thing you need. Warm, soothing bath water helps the oil to be absorbed easily into your skin. A bath like this also helps to increase your skin's health, and silkiness. There is no need for store bought foaming bath oils, because they are so easy to put together at home. And you know what the ingredients are, and that is a healthy benefit.

The first step is to mix one cup of vegetable oil with half a cup of liquid soap. To that add one tablespoon of vanilla extract and half a cup of glycerin. Then stir all the ingredients until it is a smooth mixture. Other oils like almond, sunflower or olive oil and avocado can be used. But these may not keep as long.

The next step is to pour this mixture into a bottle, with a tight fitting top. This mixture will make sixteen ounces of foaming bath oil.

To use, shake the mixture well before pouring it into the tub. Drip about one fourth of a cup under the running water, and it will filter into the tub.
