Steak Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs Leftover Beef Roast or 1 ½ lb. stew beef
  • 3 cups homemade beef broth
  • 1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes  1/2 cup brown rice 2  carrot stalks, chopped  1/2  green pepper, diced  1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
  • 2 tablespoons Steak Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Homemade Honey Wheat Rolls

Directions

  1. 1Prepare dough for homemade honey wheat rolls in bread machine or in mixing bowl, according to directions on page
  2. 2In large saucepan, add leftover beef roast or stew beef, homemade beef broth  diced tomatoes, 2 cups of water, brown rice, chopped carrots, diced green pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasonings, and salt and pepper to taste. Add 2 Tbsp steak sauce. Bring to boil and then simmer for about an hour, or until veggies are tender and brown rice has cooked.
  3. 3Finish preparing bread
  4. 4Serve Steak Sauce Stew with Homemade Honey Wheat Rolls.
 After cooking a large 2-3 lb. beef roast, save some of the meat for a stew or other meal that calls for diced or shredded beef.
