Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs Leftover Beef Roast or 1 ½ lb. stew beef
- 3 cups homemade beef broth
- 1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes 1/2 cup brown rice 2 carrot stalks, chopped 1/2 green pepper, diced 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
- 2 tablespoons Steak Sauce
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Homemade Honey Wheat Rolls
Directions
- 1Prepare dough for homemade honey wheat rolls in bread machine or in mixing bowl, according to directions on page
- 2In large saucepan, add leftover beef roast or stew beef, homemade beef broth diced tomatoes, 2 cups of water, brown rice, chopped carrots, diced green pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasonings, and salt and pepper to taste. Add 2 Tbsp steak sauce. Bring to boil and then simmer for about an hour, or until veggies are tender and brown rice has cooked.
- 3Finish preparing bread
- 4Serve Steak Sauce Stew with Homemade Honey Wheat Rolls.
After cooking a large 2-3 lb. beef roast, save some of the meat for a stew or other meal that calls for diced or shredded beef.
