Guava Leaves Review

Tonight I received a bag of organic guava leafs from a Etsy shop called Ocean Breeze Orchard. The guava leaves are handpicked right before a order, so they are extremely fresh. The company is located in Bonsall CA. The trees in the Orchard are grown using no pesticides or any chemical sprays. When you get the leaves they can be refridgerated or dried.

What the leaves are good for is brewing. They bring a array of health benefits by doing so. This is a example of a tea recipe

1. Use approximately 6 guava leaves and wash the leaves

2. Boil the leaves in approx. 1 liter of water.

3. After boiling for 10 minutes, pour and filter the water to remove the leaves.

4. Pour into your favorite tea cups and enjoy...

Tip: If you prefer a sweet flavor add a little honey

The youthful leaves of the guava plant are utilized in conventional medication in tropical nations. These leaves contain various gainful substances, including cell reinforcements like nutrient C and falconoid, for example, quercetin. Drinking a tea made by splashing guava leaves in high temp water might be advantageous in treating looseness of the bowels, bringing down cholesterol and forestalling diabetes.

So to try the leaves I made a pot and filled them according to the sample tea recipe. The taste was very good, nothing over powering. For some added flavor I added some wildflower honey. Guava tea has mellow astringent flavor. Very nice, and enjoyable.

If you want to know more about the company, head over to their Etsy shop.
