Review for Cielito Mio Gourmet Salsa

I am so excited to try the two products I received today. The company Cielito Mio, sent me two of their salsa's, one hot and one mild. Both made with real authentic dried chilies, and special spices to obtain a unique flavor. They are great to eat with just about any food, chips, burgers, and so much more. The company is a family owned and operated business, located out of two locations in New York. The salsa's have great history to them, dating back to the Aztecs, Olmecs, Totonacas, or even the Mayas. They use different types chilies to make their salsa's for a define element in their Mexican products. The website also offers some great recipe ideas, that you can try at home. Also if you, yourself own a restaurant, or food service company, or food truck, you can get their products wholesale. That's how good their products are. 

So to start off with, the family grabbed some tortilla chips and poured both salsa's in a bowl of their own. The first to try was the mild salsa. It had a great texture to it. You got the mild flavor of the chilies, and the spices. Not to hot, just the right heat. This salsa would be great with any type of recipe that calls for a garnish, or even use in place of another type of ingredient. The gourmet salsa was absolutely delicious. My family really enjoyed it. 

 

Next up was the hot salsa, and we ate this salsa on different veggies, carrots and celery. The heat was intense, but not overbearing, with a nice texture. The heat doesn't stay long on the palette, which I like, no harsh after burn. This as well as the other salsa would be great to use in many types of recipes. Again you get the wonderful flavors of the chilies, and spices, that leave you wanting to eat more.
