Mice as Pet's

So, you set out to buy some pet mice. Next you'll need to determine how many mice you'll get. The size cage you have for them decides this best. You have to give them as much room as a gerbil, hamster or other little rodent. However, never have one mouse alone, mice are social animals, and when kept alone, they get very lonely, which often leads them to get sick.

Feeding You Pet Mice.
Mice are in most countries very common pets. Getting any fresh mice food available at your local pet store shouldn't be difficult. When there is no particular mice food combination, hamster feeding is usually going to be provided, just check with a reputable pet store first to make sure.

Always, put some fresh water in a bottle or bowl on their cage too. You will only need to fill their water and food bowl once a day. Usually the best time for this, is in the evening as mice are nocturnal and wake up about then.

Housing Your Pet Mice
This is a fun and simple part. You get to shop around for a cage that you think will fit into your home space, and comfortably house your mice. Whether it has an exercise wheel and other toys or obstacles inside that would help the mice, it's best to go as big as you can manage or accommodate.

You will be cleaning it out once a week so don't find it impossible to navigate anywhere. Lay down some wood shavings for bedding, and give some carton tubes to your mice to chew on and play in.

Enjoy Your Pet Mice
Now you've got your mice and it's time to enjoy. Many people consider seeing them in view calming and you can see them building dens and playing with obstacles. Seek to treat them every other day at least and they'll be even more relaxed, they may even begin to engage you if you put your hand into the enclosure.
