The Pickle Guys are is operated by Alan Kaufman in the Lower East Side, on Essex Street. The pickles are made from a old Easter European recipe, just like "mom". The pickles are barrel cured. No preservatives are used in the brine. They store up to six months, and cure. Not only do they produce pickles, they have pickled watermelon, cabbage rolls, and cabbage heads, and much more.
The sour pickle tasted fantastic. I feel although it was sour, it wasn't tart. Just the right balance.
Next was the pineapple, this was delicious. Tonite for dessert we are going to have it over ice cream. The chucks in this jar of pineapples was a good size. They sure don't skimp.
Next was the new pickle, a great taste, that I will use again with a good grilled hamburger.
Finally was the celery, we had this as a side dish with our fish tonite, it was a great compliment. The celery was pickled and went really well with the fish.
