Your dog's warning signs of cancer

Recently my friends dog died of cancer, and she never knew her dog had it. She adopted her dog, and they told her she was in good health. She had the dog for five months when the dog became ill. There we're no signs until the last day of her life. So I wanted to share some signs that may be concerning, and should prompt a vet check. But more important get a health contract when adopting, and find out if something happens what is their policy. You are not aloud to sell or adopt out sick animals.

1. Sudden weight loss.
2. Unusual swelling or growths.
3. Wounds that do not heal.
4. Disinterest in food.
5. Abnormal bleeding or discharge.
6. Foul odor.
7. Trouble swallowing or breathing.
8. Persistent stiffness or lameness.
9. Struggling to urinate or defecate.
10. Loss of stamina or lethargy.

If you suspect anything wrong, you should always get your pet to your vet for a exam and blood test. These tests can reveal any imbalances that can indicate cancer growth. There are four dangerous words, in vet medicine, "lets just watch it". These test could be the difference between five more wonderful years with your best friend. Spaying and neutering also helps limit these problems. And always limit your pets exposure to hazardous pesticides in their food and on your lawns. Also make sure your pets get exercise, and plenty of it.
