Breakfast for Picky Eaters

If you have a picky eater, breakfast can seem unlimited in options. Fruit is the most common thing for breakfast, because it provides plenty of dietary fiber. But you need to find what really works for you and your picky eater.

There is also cereal, and on the market today there are plenty of healthy ones. You should try to use cereals low in sugar like frosted mini wheats and corn flakes.

If your picky eater is lactose intolerant try using fat free milk or almond milk, but the best is soy milk.

Another breakfast option is a smoothie, because they can be made without processed foods. The options are almost endless. You can create a fruit smoothie, or a veggie smoothie or mix the two together. Smoothies also get veggies into your picky eater in a fun way.

Now matter what you prepare for your picky eater, try to include two to four food groups. Like fruit, dairy and grains, and your proteins. Try and have also a whole grain bread slice and maybe a whole apple with your cereal. When ever possible always try to choose whole grains.
