Eco friendly Pesticide

Did you know that you can use canola oil for a pesticide. It works on many veggie and other plants, killing a wide variety of pests. The reason it works so well is that the oil coats the bugs. And it is approved by the EPA as a non toxic and Eco safe pesticide. The best part is most of us already have oil in our homes. So it's less expensive than store brand pesticides.

The oil works by suffocating the pests, therefore they can not breed. When using the oil, make sure that you only use a little because, it will prevent your plants from absorbing water and sun.

The best mix for your canola oil is to mix one cup of oil to one gallon of water. Place into a spray bottle for easy use. Make sure you mark your bottle with the name of your content, and then shake it up. The oil will set when not in use to the bottom of your bottle.

Carefully spray your plants and the stems, with a light mist of your mixture. Spraying to much can damage your plants.

You can also use your mixture to kill household pests like aphids, mites, moths, weevils, grubs and even beetles. You will spray them in the same manner as your plants.

The oil mixture works great on tomato plants, and fruit and citrus trees as well. If you have houseplants, it is safe to use on them also. Even your ornamental can have this mixture used on them. Some plants even benefit from the canola mixture. Just make sure you only use canola for your mixture.
