Insane Chicken Hot Sauces Review

It wasn't hard tonite to think about what to cook for dinner. Especially when I received three hot sauces from Insane Chicken. A Internet based business, they are a retailer of sauces and condiments, rubs and gifts for products out of the ordinary. And the collection is huge, that's for sure.

So what kind of chicken did I make to taste the three sauces, chicken wings of course.

I made a large bag of wings, and then cooked them, dividing them into three piles I made a chicken wing sauce, using one of each hot sauce, using Choke your chicken hot sauce.

This was a great tasting sauce, I put it in some melted butter to make the wing sauce. You can taste the herbs, and spices, mixed with a tomato flavor. Also a hint of red wine and oregano and than the peppers. Peri Peri Peppers to be exact. Known in Africa as their hottest peppers ever. This sauce was hot, I had to look in the mirror to see if my mouth had blisters. You can see the spices that float in the sauce, and that alone makes you want to stick your finger in and lick it, if your brave enough.

So who made this great hot tasting sauce, Insane chicken that's who. A company who distributes many other sauces as well. Not only are they great to eat, they would make great gifts for the pepper lover you know and love. The bottles are funny in nature with chicken antics on them.

So more on this sauce of choke your chicken. Upon opening the bottle it smelled similar to taco seasoning, but yet sweet. One way to describe it is, like eating something sweet with a atomic kick. It was definitely different than any other sauce I had eaten. After eating several wings, my husband started to sweat. So I didn't want to give it to my kids, its a little to much for them. But I would offer it to anyone who loves heat on their food. Because there is heat for sure in this sauce. But yet it really tastes good.

The next batch of wings we used the Cluckin Hot Ghost pepper Sauce. Wow is a word that first comes out of your mouth.

The sauce was reddish brown and was very thick. You could see the peppers floating in the sauce also. It was almost stew like, with a taste of red wine vinegar, tomatoes and molasses and onions. I didn't add the sauce to butter, just poured a little coating on the chicken. It coated the chicken nicely due to the thickness. This sauce would also taste great added to other ingredients like tarter sauce for fish. Or even in a dipping mixture with some chips. My husband loves Bloody Marys so I know where he will be trying it. To me it looks more like a BBQ sauce rather than a hot sauce. So I am thinking spare ribs on the grill for the next try. When Insane Chicken says they have hot sauces, they surely are not kidding. And that just goes to show you the quality of their products, they produce what they advertise.

The last batch of wings, experienced the Insane Chickens Fire Roasted Habanero Hot Sauce.

OK, this sauce was made using fire roasted habaneros, vinegar and lime juice, onion, garlic and more. Need I say more. OK I do, this was fantastic. So many recipes came into my mind, like fish, chili, ribs, it was endless. Just the smell upon opening the jar was so tempting to just put your finger in and taste. It had a medium thickness, that coated the wings good, and you could even see the seeds and bits of the habanero's. However, it is blistering hot, so I am glad the coating on the wings was minimal. The intense heat starts at your lips, than moves on your tongue, slides down your throat, and than boom, there it is in the belly. But I have to say it was a good kinda kick. And if you make a lot of chili this is the hot sauce for you. I am also thinking this would make a good dipping sauce ingredient also. Cocktail sauce for fish also comes to mind to, some catfish and cocktail sauce to be exact. The cold beer we had with the wings balanced out the heat really well. This is a sauce not for children either. My husband put a little dash in his blue cheese dressing and dipped his celery sticks in, his response, was it tasted great.

All three of these sauces can be used in so many ways. They we're all great tasting, and a pleasure trying.
