Mosquito Bites coming soon

Before you know it, the mosquito's will be out and biting. These bites can be a great nuisances. And although we try to avoid them, they do happen. And when it starts to itch, it has are full attention. So I wanted to share with you some remedies, that work sometimes even better than calamine lotion. They aren't difficult to use at all. After all the itch is just a allergic reaction and with a few common products from the store you can stop the itch in no time. These bites can really be hardier on the kids, so lets get the itch out.

The first thing to do, is to wash the bite area with a soapy washcloth. Then make a mixture of equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water in a bowl. Take a cotton ball and dip into your mixture. Then start dabbing the mosquito bite gently. This mixture will help to disinfect the bite and help reduce getting a infection. Let the mixture rest on the bite for about two minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

Antihistamine cream also works great on the bite. With a cotton swab, dab the bite. Then wait two minutes allowing the cream to sink into your skin. This cream works great for one or two bites. For more than that try using a analgesic gel, and taking a oral antihistamine as directed. The combo will combat the allergens, that is causing the itching, and the gel will numb the bite at the same time.

Also with your cotton swab you could dab some
hydrocortisone on your mosquito bite. This will help fight inflammation, from the bite. Repeating the process every four hours will help the swelling go down, resulting in less itching.

If you are a outdoors person, pack these items to take along with you. And you will win over the bite.
