Skillet Bacon Jam Review

Just when I thought I had blogged about the most unique things, I received a product called skillet bacon jam. The little jar came from skillet street food.

Chef Josh Henderson created this great skillet food, in Seattle, and since then it has swept the country. He created the food product with a classic technique and seasonal ingredients. It was a big hit with the people of Seattle.

So like me you are probably wondering what the heck is skillet bacon jam. Well they took a bunch of really good tasting bacon, and rendered it down, then added spices and onions, and other great ingredients. Simmered it for six hours and than gave it a quick puree, blast chilled it and whola you have bacon jam.

So the family tyred it on a hamburger, you know a bacon burger no pun intended. And it was really good. The taste was just like that of having a slice of real bacon on the burger. My husband made it with a BLT, and used the jam for the bacon part. He couldn't believe how much it still tasted like a original BLT.  This product can be used any where in a recipe that calls for bacon. How neat is that.

You can call it a jam, or spread, even a condiment, what ever suites you. But this little jar packs a powerful punch with flavor. And it is USDA approved.

I can think of so many places skillet bacon jam would come into play. How about a topping on a baked potato. The ideas are endless.

Skillet bacon jam is a national leader in street food phenomenon. Its been featured in time, bon appetite and the wall street journal. So that tells you just how good this is.

Don't take my word for it, jump on over to their website and see for your self. Visit them at http://www.skilletstreetfood.com/ . There's a wealth of information just waiting there for you.
